Nicole Levenberg is a South African textile designer and artist, educated at Central St Martins in London and now based in Johannesburg, where she creates her meticulously hand drawn designs for her label Aureum. Acutely aware of the rich source of inspiration that the natural world provides, she has always drawn on this resource and its myriad patterns and colours to form the basis of her designs. Coming from a traditional fine art background, she starts her designs with pen on paper, before progressing to technology to finalise the process.
